Edinburgh Crisis Centre

The Crisis Centre is open 24 hours a day 365 days of the year and provides community based, emotional and practical support at times of crisis. It is a service for people who are aged 16 and over who are using or have used mental health services and are resident in the City of Edinburgh when they are facing a crisis. This includes people who have seen their GP, used voluntary services and people who identify themselves as having a mental health issue.

Mental Health Assessment Service

MHAS is an emergency mental health assessment service. A nurse led team based at the Royal Edinburgh Hospital available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Also provide a service at the Royal Infirmary from 5pm – 8am Monday to Thursday and from 5pm Friday to 8am Monday.

The Junction

The Junction is a safe, friendly, confidential centre which offers lots of health-related services, education and support for young people in Leith and North East Edinburgh aged 12-21.

Edinburgh and Lothians Narcotics Anonymous

NA is a non-profit fellowship or society of men and women for whom drugs had become a major problem. We are recovering addicts who meet regularly to help each other stay clean.

Turning Point Scotland Edinburgh

Turning Point Scotland Edinburgh services provide support to people experiencing problems with substance misuse. Based in Leith & Craigmillar the services provide a wide range of support based on harm reduction and moving towards recovery.

ELCA Counselling Service

This service works with people aged 18 years and over who are worried about their own drinking. It also supports people who are worried about the drinking of a family member, partner or friend.

Granton Information Centre

We have a trained team of Welfare Rights Advisers who provide free and independent benefits and money/debt advice for anyone who resides within our catchment areas. We also have trained Housing Advisers who can provide guidance and support to tenants who rent from private landlords/housing associations. All of the advice given by GIC Advisers is strictly confidential and by appointment only.

Citizens Advice Edinburgh (CAE) is a charity with 5 bureaux and 17 outreach points across Edinburgh. We provide advice, information and practical assistance. Our services are free, confidential, impartial and independent.

The Corner

The Corner Is A Young Person’s Health And Information Service Based In Dundee City Centre. The Corner offers a wide range of Health & Information services through our city centre Drop-in and outreach work. Services are all free, informal and confidential. Services are for those aged 11-19 years (up to 25yrs for those in crisis).
